The CS of Education Cabinet, Mr. Ezekiel Machogu, has stated that the government plans to collaborate with universities to recognize possibilities for turning research into business ventures.
In the Nyaribari Masaba Constituency, while attending a burial of a relative Prof Nathan Ogechi from Kisii University, the CS indicated that the collaboration will help to promote cooperation and encourage investments that can generate more wealth for the country.
“We are aware that research undertaken in our universities is the main source of innovation that boosts viability,” he said.
The CS acknowledged from past experiences where, when the government and universities combined efforts, they usually achieved top outcomes in handling health, economic and social problems.
He requested parents to put money into education for their kids’ to guarantee them a brighter future and care for them later when they become old.
