Khadija Secondary Stuns Serani in Mombasa County Term Two Games

In one of the most unexpected occurence, Khadija Secondary have emerged top over Serani Secondary in football during term two games for Mombasa County. The victory came as a suprise with a 3-0 win at St Charles Lwanga changamwe grounds, where they officially dethroned defending champions.

According to their coach, Shem Lumumba, the victory was all about early preparation and strategic planning. “We had prepared our team early enough this time round, and we had a good plan for Serani and all our other opponents,” said the coach.

On the other hand, Serani’s coach Alex Shikanga blamed his team for not taking the final pool match seriously. They went into it with a relaxed attitude since they had already made it to the last four. “We gave opportunities to our other players since we had booked our place in the last four. We promise our fans that we shall do everything to retain the title” said Shikanga.

In the girls’ football, defending champions Bomu Secondary were thrashed 2-0 by Mwakirunge Secondary. Despite this defeat, the team manager of Bomu, Varlen Awuor, was still optimistic. Much emphasis had to be placed on ensuring that this was not going to deter them from doing their best in achieving their set goals for the competition.
