Term Two Games Kickoff
Kisii School is confident of defending the Kisii County rugby 7s title as Kenya Secondary Schools Term Two Games kick off today at Nduru Boys.
Aims and Objectives
“We want to continue with our dominance and our target is to lift both the county and regional titles,” said Kisii School’s head coach Hesborn Chweya. He reiterated their target to represent the country in the East Africa Games set for August in Uganda. Kisii School are also the county and Nyanza region 7s champions.
Pool Matches Overview
Gesero, Nyamache, and Rioma Secondary pool in ‘C’. Pool ‘D’ has the hosts Nduru Boys, Itierio Boys, and Nyamagwa Boys to their lots.
Girls’ Rugby 7s Debut
The Girls Rugby 7s, which is featured in the KSSSA calendar for the very first time, will see Nyamagwa, Kereri, and Nyangoge in Pool ‘A’ and Nyagichenche, Rianyanchabera, and Rioma in Pool ‘B’. Hema will feature with Bobaracho and Ekerubo in Pool ‘C’.
Soccer Matches for Boys
The defending champions in boy’s soccer are Ndonyo Mixed, who will start their title defense in Pool ‘D’ against Ongicha and representatives from the Marani sub-county. Mariwa, Sameta Boys, Itumbe will be in Pool ‘A’. Igonga, Hema, and Kebabe SDA will be in Pool ‘B’. In Pool ‘C’, favourites Nyanchwa Boys will clash with Machongo and Nyagichenche.
Girls Soccer Matches
Defending champions in the girl-child category, Kerongorori, begin their title defense with an encounter against Kereri Girls and Geturi in Pool ‘A’. In Pool ‘B’, Nyabisase, Nyabonge, and Iranda will square you out. In Pool ‘C’, St Angelas, Ayora, and Nyabigena Girls fight it out, while in the case of Pool ‘D’, Gesero will face Moremani and Keberesi.
