This win took the team to its very first nationals in history.

Dramatic Final Match
Initially, Machakos Boys were set to face Simisi Boys in the finals. However, after a successful appeal by Isiolo Barracks, Simisi Boys were thrown out of the competition, and their place at the finals as opponents was taken by the latter. The unexpected development only added flavor to the final match. Setting the tempo and rising to the occasion, Machakos Boys demonstrated determination and skill to clinch the Regional title with a narrow 2:1 win.
