This Sunday morning witnessed a road accident involving a school bus that was carrying 41 students and four teachers near the Nyamira Junction area. The bus, headed to Kisumu from Nyamira, developed a mechanical failure that caused it to crash. The incident took place at around 6:45 am and has raised concerns over the safety of school transport systems.

According to police reports, the bus driver lost control following a brake failure. From this mechanical fault, the bus moved off the road towards the right side facing the Oyugis direction and collided with a nearby building. The impact from the accident led to the extensive damage of the bus and many injuries to the occupants.
