In an effort to make it easier for Kenyans to find work abroad, the National Employment Authority has created a list of 100 licensed recruitment agencies in their new system dubbed NEAIMS or National Employment Authority Integrated Management System. These agencies are very important because they help connect people looking for jobs from Kenya with employers around the world which boosts representation of our country’s workforce worldwide.

Accessing the List:

The NEAIMS now connects 8,074 employers with 25,400 job seekers, gives a simple platform for Kenyans to discover the catalog of endorsed recruitment agencies. Key Steps for Overseas Employment:

Prior to commencing an overseas employment journey, the State Department for Diaspora Affairs sets forth important steps for potential job seekers:

1. Confirm the licensing and registration of the recruitment agent through the NEAIMS website.
2. Complete an interview, secure an accepted offer letter, and sign a contract.
3. Personal attestation by the Ministry of Labour, visa process and air tickets arrangement.
4. Participate in pre-departure training facilitated by the Ministry.
5. Verify job details, employer information, salary, and payment methods in the foreign country.
6. Familiarize yourself with accommodation arrangements and identify your host before meeting the employer.
7. Acquire a Work Permit and an appropriate, renewable visa linked to the period of contract.
8. Ensure availability of emergency funds and keep Kenya High Commission or Embassy contact details.

Fraud Prevention:

In order to protect against possible fraud, the Ministry gives guidance not to bring bags packed by someone else. This is suggested so that you do not become unintentionally involved in illegal actions.
